Noni Madueke got his first senior England callup for these Nations League games, and he’s just grabbed an assist for Harry Kane to really cement this last few months as a high point in his career so far.
Madueke didn’t get on the pitch in the first game, but he did tonight, and he didn’t wait long to make it count, flicking the ball to Harry Kane with the outside of his boot to set the striker up.
It’s hardly the most technically challenging assist he will ever give, but it required him to be aware and lift his head up at the right moment – and you can see Kane crediting the winger after the ball is in the net.
