Bagnaia the toast of Italy after securing second MotoGP™ crown
Having sealed his third world title at the Valencia GP, Francesco Bagnaia has hit the sporting headlines in his home country. The Italian became the first rider in the MotoGP™ era to win back-to-back premier class crowns while adorning the #1 across the front of his motorbike.
It’s a feat that hasn’t been achieved since the legendary Mick Doohan did it back in 1998, it has now rightly put the Ducati Lenovo Team rider in the limelight, though he has to share some of it with the national Italian tennis team after their David Cup triumph. Check out some of the coverage below.
The Italian didn’t just make headlines at home, with renowned French publication L’Equipe also lavishing praise upon the two-time MotoGP™ World Champion.
