Play in Phoenix is set to resume on Sunday at 9:30 ET as organizers hope to finish the tournament before the Super Bowlstarts on Sunday evening with leaders Nick Taylor, Shaith Theegala and Andrew Noak (T3 with Doug Ghim) finishing play Saturday on hole No. 7.
Play will resume today at 7:30 a.m. local time (weather permitting) and if things go smoothly by 10:30 a.m. (12:30 p.m. ET) everyone will have finished round 3.
What time will Round 4 begin on Sunday?
Tee times won’t be made official for round 4 until everyone finishes round 3, so we won’t know until sometime around 12:30 p.m ET more or less.
Based on past experience and what transpired yesterday, at best players will tee off around 1 p.m. ET. It’s still to be decided if players will tee off from tees 1 and 10 simultaneously, but it looks like that’ll be necessary again in order to finish play before 4:30 p.m. local time, when the Super Bowl begins.
We’ll keep you updated on Round 4 tee times and publish them here as soon as they are announced. Hopefully things will go more smoothly today in the stands considering it is Sunday, but, that said, it is Super Bowl Sunday, so who knows with the Waste Management Phoenix Open fans.
